Ultimate Staffing is looking for an Accounting Specialist for our well-known client in Fresno, CA.
This is a full-time position paying between $21-$25 depending on experience.
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance
- Support audits by providing required documentation and reports
- Generate financial reports and assist with budget tracking
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
